Philip Cole Primary teacher Philip Cole is a primary school supply teacher and was first elected to the Council in 2006 and re-elected in 2008. |

Philip has taught in English primary schools since 1966, mainly in the junior phase, though he served as a primary advisory teacher in northern Nigeria, under the auspices of the V.S.O, between 1976 and 1978. He has worked as a career supply teacher on a part-time basis since 1999; his main employer is Birmingham City Council.
Latterly, using his annually updated training as a KS2 English External Marker, he has diversified into assessing and supporting children’s writing, mainly in year six, through booster withdrawal groups from the classroom.
