'As a chalk face teacher of 30 years plus experience I have a particular interest in issues relating to classroom management.
'The drive to raise standards has inevitable effects on work-life balance and the daily stress encountered by ‘ordinary practitioners’. I am concerned that these pressures are both recognised and understood.
I am also aware of the difficulties experienced by NQTs leading to a large percentage of young professionals leaving within their first five years and would like to devise accepted strategies to address this problem.'
