The GTC wants all teachers to have the chance to take part in effective continuing professional development (CPD) throughout their careers.
To achieve this, we work closely with organisations such as the Training and Development Agency for Schools (TDA) and with teachers, schools and local authorities.

Plan your CPD
Download documents from the Teachers' Professional Learning Framework (TPLF) published by the GTC.
Schools can use the TPLF to draw up team, departmental or school learning plans. You can also use it to identify and support progression and continuity at different stages of your career.

Get recognition
You can get public and professional recognition for your learning, development and improvement work by registering with the Teacher Learning Academy (TLA). |

Access relevant research
Research of the Month (RoM) is a series of research summaries on topics that are directly relevant to teachers. So far, we have published four RoM summaries on issues related to CPD. |
