Advice for employers: GTC Code of Conduct and Practice for Registered Teachers

The GTC’s new Code of Conduct and Practice for Registered Teachers comes into effect from 1 October 2009. This means that GTC disciplinary committees can use the Code as a reference point for disciplinary casework referred on or after that date.

Overseas teachers and instructors: Important reminder

From 1 September 2009 all overseas trained teachers (OTTs) and all instructors who are employed in settings where registration with the GTC is required will need to be provisionally registered with the Council.

The new Teacher Enquiry Service telephone number
