The National Primary Teacher Education Council (NaPTEC) and the GTC are holding a workshop to review the proposed changes to the primary curriculum, following the Cambridge and Rose Reviews, and discuss the implications for initial teacher education.
The Qualifications and Curriculum Development Agency will give an introduction to the current state of play in revisions to the primary curriculum and responses will be led by Robert Fisher of Brunel University, one of the key national figures in the promotion of more creative approaches to the curriculum.
This is an opportunity for teacher educators and teachers, whether centre-based or school-based, to consider the implications for initial teacher education at a time of significant change in the primary curriculum.
Places are strictly limited and must be applied for by 31 January 2010. GTC will reimburse supply and travel expenses for teachers.
For more information, or to book your place, please send your name, address, contact (phone/email), school name and any specific requirements to NaPTEC.
