Briefing on licence to practise

The General Teaching Council briefed MPs on the Government’s licence to practise proposals during the passage of the Children, Schools and Families Bill.  This goes to the House of Lords on 8 March 2010 for consideration. 

The GTC’s key concerns are that any licensing system should bring real benefits to teaching and learning and not be unduly burdensome for teachers and schools.
