The National Foundation for Educational Research (NFER) has developed a free guide to assessment for teachers. ‘Getting to grips with assessment: primary’ is for new and experienced teachers and covers topics like why assessments may give different results, how to handle apparent contradictions in data and how to share assessment information with parents and governors.
