Introducing the GTC Networks.

Good teaching needs good networks and good networks need good teachers.

The GTC Networks provide support by linking teachers nationally and putting them in touch with the latest research and evidence. They let teachers have a voice at national debates on changes to education.


Bradford community cohesion project

NATRE is the former Professional Council for Religious Education (PCfRE).

NATRE took part in Respect for All, a community cohesion project that was based in Bradford and also involved seven schools in three LAs, a City Learning Centre  and the Association of RE Inspectors, Advisors and Consultants (AREIAC). 

The project aimed to promote respect for difference through religious education.  Joint activities, visits and drama were used to develop students’ understanding of the issue.  The project  produced a series of DVDs on Sacred Spaces and is described in the NATRE magazine REsource, Spring 2006, available through the NATRE website.
