Introducing the GTC Networks.

Good teaching needs good networks and good networks need good teachers.

The GTC Networks provide support by linking teachers nationally and putting them in touch with the latest research and evidence. They let teachers have a voice at national debates on changes to education.

Books to help children in the early years develop a global perspective

Oxfam Education has published a series of books to help children in the early years develop a global perspective. The 'Around the World' books introduce children to different topics and their place within different cultures and countries. The topics are: hair, bicycles, homes and playtime.

The books are suitable for use across the curriculum in the Foundation Stage and in Key Stage 1 (P1-2) English, PSHE/Citizenship and Geography.

Paperback copies can be ordered from Oxfam’s secure online catalogue. You can also contact the distributors at oxfam@bebc.co.uk or on 01202 712933.

For a copy of Oxfam's Catalogue for Schools, containing around 400 education resources, contact Oxfam on 0870 333 2700 or education@oxfam.org.uk, or order through the website.
