The GTC Networks provide support by linking teachers nationally and putting them in touch with the latest research and evidence. They let teachers have a voice at national debates on changes to education.
Consulting pupils about teaching and learning
Comfortable and uncomfortable lessons for teachers.
This research summary provides an overview of an interesting study into pupil voice and teachers’ engagement with suggestions made by pupils.
The researchers found that:
- consulting pupils on teaching and learning resulted in some sensible and constructive suggestions
- teachers were able to incorporate the suggestions into their teaching, and
- the consultation process resulted in increased pupil motivation.
