Introducing the GTC Networks.
Good teaching needs good networks and good networks need good teachers.
The GTC Networks provide support by linking teachers nationally and putting them in touch with the latest research and evidence. They let teachers have a voice at national debates on changes to education.
Resources from Connect’s 'Future of CPD: personalising CPD'
Connect has worked with local authority (LA) CPD advisers and teachers on eight small scale projects throughout the year. Our aim is to track the professional learning of those involved in developing their CPD offer as well as offering the opportunity to recognise their learning through the GTC Teacher Learning Academy (TLA).
Keith Hildrew from Harrow local authority looked at how the role of the LA was changing in relation to supporting teachers’ CPD. Here we present Keith’s conclusions and recommendations to the LA that ask whether a local authority should be a provider, facilitator or broker of teachers’ CPD.
A group of Suffolk primary, secondary and special school headteachers built on the new professional standards and compiled a list of evidence and some FAQs.
This leaflet developed by Patchway College in Bristol to get the most out of the professional standards. It is a work in progress which will be updated according to teacher feedback.
