The GTC is seeking your comments on its new Equality and Diversity Scheme (12 Jan 2007).
The scheme sets out the GTC’s commitment to meeting our duties under the equalities legislation, as listed in the scheme. We have followed good practice guidance, as published in codes of practice and other guidance from The Commission for Racial Equality (CRE), The Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC), and The Disability Rights Commission (DRC), in building the scheme. We are now consulting on it, prior to finalisation and publication, and would like to know your views on whether our scheme does meet these duties, in both the letter and spirit.
