The National Assessment Agency (NAA) is once again seeking to recruit teachers as school examiners (11 Jan 2007).
Last year the NAA and the awarding bodies had a record number of applicants, but they still need more in 2007, especially in the key areas of English, history and religious studies.
According to the the NAA, 9 out of ten examiners plan to do the job again this year. They say that it gives them vital insights into their subject, extra money for their summer holiday, and networking opportunities with other professionals in their subject. Examiners get excellent training and support.
Examining is ideal for teachers at any stage of their career and for those retiring or taking maternity leave or a career break.
It’s easy to find out more and apply online – just visit the NAA examiner recruitment website.
