GTC policy adviser Lesley Saunders will be making the keynote speech at a conference on the use of research to inform teaching practice (31 May 2006).
The Topic Conference, which takes place in London on 12 July 2006, is organised by the National Foundation for Educational Research (NFER). The GTC will be exhibiting at the event, which is to feature presentations by practitioner researchers, and workshops on the impact of research findings on schools and teaching practice.
The conference is aimed chiefly at subscribers to NFER’s online magazine Topic, but is open to all. The fee for Topic subscribers is £75, which includes a delegate pack and lunch. Non-subscribers pay £100. Further details and a booking form are available on the Topic website:
