Join one of our professional networks
These are:
- Engage: for new teachers and those who support them;
- Connect: for those who lead CPD in their schools; and
- Achieve: for those seeking to promote racial equity.
Each of our networks hosts regular events where teachers can come together to pool their knowledge and ideas. These meetings also enable the GTC to learn more about what is happening on the ground, enabling policies to be continually informed by sound knowledge of teachers’ firsthand experiences in the classroom. The networks provide access to relevant information and resources, through the website, and via regular email newsletters.
Attend an event
Our diverse events programme enables us to share work with a wide audience, alongside giving you an opportunity to tell us what you’re thinking. For example, the GTC regularly hosts informal receptions at different venues around the country, where local teachers and others are invited to meet us. We also organise larger scale conferences - for example, in May 2008 we organised Teachers of 2012: Shaping the future, to help us better understand the effects of change and inform our work to draw up a new code for teaching.
