Hearing of Professional Conduct Committee
On 5 July 2010 a disciplinary order was made against Mr Steven Bilclough, teacher reference number 9463004, taking effect on 19 July 2010.
Mr Steven Bilclough was found guilty of unacceptable professional conduct in that whilst employed at Maidstone Grammar School for Girls, between 2007 and 2008 he:
i) entered incorrect marks for science tests
ii) did not ensure that the correct exam marks were sent to the examination board
iii) did not follow the appropriate procedures in relation to examination board requirements, in particular he did not meet the deadlines for the submission of test scores
iv) did not carry out his duties and responsibilities as Head of Department, in particular he did not:
a) securely organise the safekeeping of scripts and coursework
b) chase up work from students that was perceived to be missing.
Mr Steven Bilclough received a Reprimand (two years).
