Hearing of Professional Conduct Committee
On 21 July 2010 a disciplinary order was made against Mr Robert Howden, teacher reference number 0340384, taking immediate effect.
Mr Robert Howden was found guilty of unacceptable professional conduct in that whilst employed as a teacher at Garendon High School, Loughborough, he:
i) made inappropriate comments to and or about pupils
ii) on 07 January 2009 he told an inappropriate joke containing sexual innuendo to a class
iii) on 07 January 2009 he used swear words in front of pupils
iv) made comments about suicide to a class
v) he acted inappropriately in respect of a pupil in that he:
a) made inappropriate comments to them
b) singled them out for punishment
c) disciplined them inappropriately.
Mr Robert Howden received a Suspension Order (12 months).
