Disciplinary order made by the GTC
Hearing of Professional Conduct Committee
On 22 June 2010 a disciplinary order was made against Mr Ian Macleod, teacher reference number 9940974, taking immediate effect.
Mr Ian Macleod was found guilty of unacceptable professional conduct in that whilst employed at David Lister School, Hull, on 08 July 2008, he failed to properly supervise students using machinery and he locked the classroom door during teaching time.
Mr Ian Macleod received a Conditional Registration Order (two years). The conditions are that Mr Macleod must:
i) notify the Registrar of the GTC within 28 days of taking up any employment for which his registration with GTC is required
ii) notify any employing head teacher or employing supply teacher agency of the existence and terms of this Conditional Registration Order before taking up such employment
iii) forward to the Registrar of the General Teaching Council on 01 June for each year within the condition period a report prepared by any employing head teacher or employing supply teacher agency which confirms that Mr Macleod has adhered to the school’s health and safety and behaviour management policies.
The Conditional Registration Order will apply for a period of two years from commencement of any employment for which registration with GTC is required.
