statement:
Please note that hearings are subject to cancellation or postponement at short notice. If you are travelling a long distance, please phone ahead on the day to confirm the hearing is still taking place.
Forthcoming hearings and induction appeals
In accordance with the General Teaching Council for England (Disciplinary Functions) Regulations 2001, notification of forthcoming conduct and competence hearings is given below.
The proceedings are held in Birmingham. Unless stated otherwise, all hearings listed will start at 9:30am and be held at:
Victoria Square House,
Victoria Square,
Birmingham,
B2 4AJ
Members of the profession and the public are welcome to attend GTC hearings but generally there is only seating for up to seven observers per hearing.
All enquiries from members of the press should be made to the media office on 020 7023 3959. If you are a member of the public wishing to attend a hearing, please call 0370 001 0308.
Future GTC hearings are published on this webpage in ascending order, with the closest hearing date at the top of the list.
Following the transfer of regulatory function, the GTC will not conduct hearings after 31 March 2012. Hearings to be conducted after that date, by the new Teaching Agency, will be listed on the DfE website in due course.
Please note: Hearings can be subject to postponement; you are strongly advised to check before travelling that a hearing is going ahead.
