Membership of regulatory committees

The GTC’s regulatory committees hear cases of alleged teacher misconduct or incompetence.

Members are appointed by the GTC, and include both practising teachers and lay members. Each hearing panel has two teachers and one lay member.

Following a change to the regulations in November 2011, Members of the GTC Council no longer sit on these hearing panels.
