How is research funded at the GTC?
The GTC mostly co-funds research projects in partnership with other organisations. We do this in order to support a collaborative approach to developing the knowledge base in education, and to optimise the reach of our budget. You can find details of our current projects in the GTC research programme section.
We also solely commission a small number of projects, notably the GTC’s annual national survey of teachers.
We are often contacted by teachers and others through the research inbox, and we welcome this warmly: we particularly want to remain informed about school-based research and enquiry projects conducted by teachers. You may wish to explore the opportunities offered by the Teacher Learning Academy.
