Through the Registration and Regulation committee, the GTC maintains and guarantees high standards of teaching and learning which benefits pupils, parents and employers as well as the profession. Disciplinary functions ensure professional standards are upheld fairly and transparently in conjunction with the Statement of Professional Values and Practice for Teachers.
