Code of Conduct and Practice

The Code of Conduct and Practice for Registered Teachers was agreed at a meeting of the General Teaching Council for England on 30 June 2004 and came into effect on 1 November 2004.

The Code should not be confused with the Statement of Professional Values and Practice for Teachers

The Code of Conduct and Practice was agreed at a meeting of the GTC on 30 June 2004 and came into effect on 1 November 2004. It sets the standards for the regulation of the profession. It was last updated in October 2007.
