Research for Teachers
Bringing teachers and research together
Welcome to Research for Teachers (RfT). A team from the Centre for the Use of Research and Evidence in Education (CUREE) has appraised, selected and summarised one or more published research studies and presented teacher case studies to illustrate the findings. CUREE's appraisal and selection process is detailed in the RfT appraisal framework, which can be found in the downloads section of this page.
We are selecting research that, in our view:
- illuminates the complex tasks involved in teaching
- enables teachers to see clearly whether there are links with their own pupils and practice, and what these are
- provides detailed information about the particular teaching and learning processes in classrooms with which teachers can identify
- is written and presented as accessibly as possible, in case teachers want to obtain and read the original text.
If you would like to receive an email alert whenever a new RfT feature is published, please go to the teacher login section at the top of the page.
Research for Teachers was previously known as Research of the Month (RoM).
