National Union of Teachers
The National Union of Teachers (NUT) enables Stage One recognition through a number of programmes, including 'Teachers Together', 'Teacher2Teacher' and 'Teach ‘n’ Chat’.
If you complete the 'Teachers Together' programme you will be able to develop a Stage One presentation. The programme involves:
- attending the initial two-day seminar and complete a 'My Next Steps' document during the final planning session
- trying out the teaching and learning strategies/approaches that are the foci of the course
- completing a self-evaluation/review pro-forma that addresses relevant TLA verification criteria
- attending a follow-up one-day seminar including a presentations’/collaborative review session at the end.
Most of the NUT's other CPD opportunities, including one-day conferences and seminars, conclude with a planning period and are followed by a self-evaluation process, during which you can make a Stage One submission.
