Specialist Schools and Academies Trust
We are working in partnership with the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust (SSAT) to pilot the TLA framework through the Schools' Enterprise Education Network (S'EEN).
S'EEN is a network of business and enterprise colleges coordinated by the SSAT. It provides support and continuing professional development (CPD) for all secondary schools in England.
The TLA/SSAT pilot focuses on those practitioners who are actively involved in CPD activities provided through S'EEN. It aims to give these teachers the opportunity to gain professional recognition for their contributions to education and training in S’EEN hub and spoke schools.
The partnership TLA Leaders were trained between June and November 2006, and are now developing presentations at Stage Three of the TLA.
Foci for TLA presentations include:
- developing coaching and mentoring skills through co-coaching other hub, spoke and network schools
- building network capacity in a local context by developing the skills needed
- working collaboratively with colleagues across S’EEN and assessing different models of collaborative working.
More information about this partnership, including contact details and a calendar of events, can be found on the S'EEN website.
