Submit your presentation
If you have prepared your presentation and are ready to submit it to the TLA, this page helps you to do the final checks and documentation. It is important to do this thoroughly, as it will prevent unnecessary delays in your presentation being verified.
| Have you enrolled with the TLA? |
|
Did you enrol with the TLA at an earlier stage in your learning journey? If so, then just move straight on to the next check. If you haven’t enrolled, you do need to do it now, using the online enrolment form. |
| Have you checked your presentation? |
|
There are different requirements for presentations at the different TLA Stages. Detailed guidance is given on pages 14 to 15 in the TLA briefing booklet. Remember that for Stage 2 and above you must include an account of a learning breakthrough. Also, for Stage 3 and above you must include an abstract or overview. As well as the different elements of your presentation, it is worth double checking that your presentation really does provide evidence that you have met the criteria for your Stage. Remember that in order for you to be recognised, the verifier will need to find evidence of all the criteria. |
| Have you filled in the presentation cover form? |
|
When you submit your presentation to the TLA, you must also submit the separate presentation cover form. You are required to include personal contact details, indicate clearly the focus of your project, and complete an evidence checklist. The cover form also has an authentication section. In this you sign to declare that the presentation relates to your own work in your school. You also need a line manager, head teacher or someone in authority to sign to authenticate this. Please note that actual signatures are not required if you submit by email; just type the relevant names and dates. |

When you have carried out the above procedures, you can submit your presentation and cover form to the TLA. It is preferred if you can send it electronically. You should email both the presentation and the cover form to enquiries@teacherlearningacademy.org.uk. Put ‘Submitting my TLA presentation’ in the subject line. If you can’t send it electronically, then post your presentation and cover form to: Teacher Learning Academy Please mark the envelope ‘TLA Presentation’. We recommend that you send it recorded delivery and keep an additional copy of your presentation. |
| Wait to hear from the TLA |
|
Once you have submitted your presentation and cover form, you can soon expect to receive an acknowledgement that it has arrived safely. The presentation is then put into the verification process. Once it has been verified, and possibly moderated, the outcome will be communicated to you. If your work is recognised, you will receive your certificate and the verifier’s feedback. If your work is not yet recognised, then you will receive the verifier’s feedback with advice for what you could do in order to re-submit. |
